Today marks the start of our Everest Three Passes Trek. We'll begin by taking an early morning flight to Lukla, a charming mountain town where many Everest adventures begin. During the short flight, try to get a window seat for stunning views of Nepal's beautiful mountains. When we land in Lukla, we'll meet up with our trekking team, including the porters who will carry our gear over the high mountain passes. From here, we'll start our trek, walking for about three hours to reach the small town of Phakding. Along the way, we'll cross thrilling suspension bridges, follow the Dudh Koshi River, and share the trails with local Sherpas and their yaks. When we arrive in Phakding, we'll find a cozy teahouse or lodge to spend the night.

We'll kick off our journey from Phakding after a hearty breakfast at the hotel. Today will be a long day as we make our way to Namche. We'll follow the Dudh Koshi River up the valley, passing over several suspension bridges and waterfalls along the route. As we trek, we'll also pass through the historic Sherpa villages of Manjo, which serves as the entry point to Sagarmatha National Park, and Jhorsalle, where we'll stop for lunch. After lunch, we'll continue our uphill trek towards Namche, which will take about 2 hours. Along the way, we'll stroll through pine forests and, if the weather permits, catch glimpses of the world's highest mountain, Everest. About 20 minutes from Namche, we'll reach the entrance to the main town of the Khumbu region. We'll spend the night at a lodge in Namche.

Before we tackle the tough mountain passes, we need to get used to the high altitude. So, today, we'll stay in Namche Bazaar. It's a lively town with lots to see and do. Namche is really important in the Khumbu region. It's been a trading center for a long time and a base for trekkers and adventurers.

While we're here, we can check out the Sherpa museum to learn about their culture. We might also go on a walk to the Hotel Everest View. From there, we can see some amazing mountains like Thamserku, Taboche, Cholatse, and even Everest itself. There's also the Edmund Hillary School in Khumjung village. It's named after the famous mountaineer. And don't miss the monastery in Khumjung. It's said to have a real yeti scalp!

When the day ends, we'll head back to our guesthouse in Namche for some well-deserved rest.

Now that we're getting used to the high altitude of the Himalayas, it's time to keep going on our Everest Three Passes Trek. Today, we'll hike for about five hours. We'll start with a gentle climb through quiet forests of tall pine trees. The best part of the day will be the amazing mountain views. After a short descent and crossing a suspension bridge, we'll climb up a series of switchbacks to see Everest, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam.

After that, we'll go to Tengboche. We'll check in at our guesthouse and then explore the area. One of the top places to visit is the Tengboche monastery. It's the biggest monastery in the Khumbu region and sits among the beautiful Himalayan mountains. Inside, there are lovely murals and sculptures to see. After our visit, we'll go back to our lodge and spend the night in Tengboche.

As we approach Everest Base Camp, you'll notice that the towering peaks of the Himalayas in Nepal appear even more imposing with each step. This feeling will intensify today as we walk alongside the Dudh Koshi River, gazing up at the frozen summits of mountains like Nuptse, Lhotse, Thamserku, and Ama Dablam. Before reaching Dingboche, we'll pass through the villages of Deboche and Pangboche. In Deboche, you'll find a remarkable Buddhist mani wall, where each stone is inscribed with the mantra om mani padme hum.

From there, we'll continue our ascent through the Khumbu region, reaching Dingboche after about five hours of trekking. Upon arrival, we'll drop off our bags, kick off our boots, and indulge in a satisfying home-cooked meal at a local guesthouse before calling it a night.

Today's journey is shorter and easier compared to previous days, but the mountains still look amazing. We'll walk along the river, passing rocky areas and catching sight of snowy peaks like Lhotse, Nuptse, and Ama Dablam. After about three hours, we'll reach Chhukung village, where we'll stay in a local teahouse.

If you want more adventure, you can hike to Chhukung Ri for a great view of mountains like Ama Dablam and Makalu. Or if you prefer a relaxed day, you can just enjoy tea and the scenery. Tomorrow, there's another chance for an acclimatization hike. We'll spend the night here in Chhukung.

As we approach the first high mountain pass of the Everest Three Passes Trek, it's time to prepare for the challenges of high altitude. Today will be another day dedicated to acclimatization, ensuring our bodies are ready for what lies ahead. But that doesn't mean we'll be sitting idle. If you missed the chance to hike to Chhukung Ri yesterday, catching the sunrise from this viewpoint offers an unforgettable experience as the dawn breaks over the Himalayas.

Alternatively, we can opt for shorter but challenging hikes to get up close to the twin peaks of Ama Dablam and a nearby frozen lake. These activities will keep us active and help us adjust to the increasing elevation of the Khumbu region. However you choose to spend the day, we'll return to Chhukung in the afternoon to prepare for tomorrow's journey and spend another night in our comfortable teahouse. Remember to get plenty of rest to prepare for the climb ahead!

Leaving Everest Base Camp behind, you might think we've seen the best of the Himalayan views. But today, as we climb to the top of Kala Patthar early in the morning, you'll see an even more amazing panorama. As the sun rises over the tall peaks of the Himalayas, you'll see a sight you'll never forget.

After enjoying the beautiful sunrise, we'll go back down to Gorak Shep to get our things and have a late breakfast. Then, we'll start our trek to Dzongla, which will take about four or five hours. Along the way, we'll walk beside the Dudh Koshi river and see Ama Dablam, Lobuche, and some pretty frozen lakes up close.

When we get to Dzongla, we'll check into our teahouse and have the rest of the day to relax.

After breakfast, we'll start walking to the second high pass on our journey. We're heading towards the tall Cholatse mountain. At first, we'll walk on easy ground, crossing some streams and then gradually going up the rocky glacial area. All day, we'll see some of the tallest mountains around us, giving us amazing views.

When we reach Cho La pass, which is 5,420 meters high, we'll take some great photos of prayer flags with the tall peaks and clear lakes behind them. Then, we'll start going down the other side of Cho La. This will take about five hours. We'll pass through Thangnak on the way and keep going until we get to Gokyo, our stop for today.

Gokyo is a pretty village next to a beautiful lake in the mountains. You'll love its charm when we arrive.

Just two days after watching the sunrise from Kala Patthar, we'll go on another early-morning hike for another amazing view. Gokyo Ri is really high up at 5,357 meters and it's one of the best spots on our Everest Three Passes Trek. We'll get there just in time to see the sun rise, lighting up Cho Oyu, Everest, Lhotse, and Nupste with beautiful golden light.

From up there, the Gokyo Lakes look really pretty with their turquoise color shining in the morning sun. After taking it all in, we'll head back to Gokyo Ri and have the rest of the day to relax. It's important to take it easy and get used to the high altitude of the Khumbu region.

After breakfast in Gokyo, we'll head to the last high pass of our Everest trek: Renjo La. We'll start by walking towards the northern side of the lake, going up switchbacks to reach the pass. This part of the journey will take about three to four hours. Renjo La is at 5,345 meters high and offers great views of the Ngozumpa Glacier, Gokyo town, and the tall peaks of Everest, Lhotse, and Taboche.

Later, we'll descend from the pass, following steep paths and passing more frozen lakes. Eventually, we'll get to Lumde, where we might take a break to buy things and eat quickly. After that, it's a short walk to Marulung, where we'll stop for the day and spend the night in a local lodge.

Today marks the beginning of our journey down from the high mountains of the Khumbu region. We'll start by walking alongside the Bhote Koshi river, following an old path once used to trade salt with Tibet. After about three hours, we'll reach Thame village, a good place to stop for lunch and take a break. Thame is important because it's where Apa Sherpa, who climbed Everest many times, was born.

After lunch, we'll keep going downhill towards Namche Bazaar, passing through the Khumbu hills for a few more hours. When we get to Namche, make sure to try some tasty treats from the local bakeries before we settle in at our guesthouse for the night.

As we prepare to say goodbye to the Khumbu and finish our Everest Three Passes Trek, we have one more part of the journey left: today we're heading to Lukla, where our adventure began. We'll start by going downhill, following the Dudh Koshi river through pine forests and crossing some suspension bridges. Even though we've walked this route from Namche Bazaar to Lukla before, going the opposite way gives us new views and perspectives. Along the path, we'll pass through open areas, walk in rhododendron forests, and pass by sacred walls with inscriptions.

When we reach Lukla, it's time to celebrate our accomplishment: we've completed the Everest Three Passes Trek! We'll share a final meal together to commemorate our journey before spending the night in Lukla.
